Breydel also makes a number of traditional meat loaves. Meat loaves are also called ‘Fricandon’ in Belgium. Production respects the original recipe. The last step is baking the meat loaves in our ovens.

 

Meat loaves are mainly sold as a cold-cut product in shops. Very few people will think of buying thick cuts of meat loaf to pan-fry it at home. Heat up the meat loaf briefly (it has been braised in our ovens already), and you have a traditional meat loaf. In the Belgian kitchen, it is often served with cabbage or apple sauce.
